Nike’s Phantom line has a new addition: The limited edition Phantom GX. The focus with this model is the latest Gripknit technology which aims to be the future for athletes in sport.

How it Works

The method in which Gripknit yarn is melted and coated protects the yarn from getting wet, allowing for the best possible boot-to-ball connection. Drawing inspiration from a fingerprint, Phantom GX’s upper balances grip and pliability for greater precision on the ball.

Weatherized surfaces are proven to be consistent in any conditions, from rain and mud to snow and even extreme heat.

Additional Updates

An agility plate consisting of 13 individual studs, five of being tri-studs, gives Phantom GX the highest stud variation of any of Nike’s soccer cleats.

Multidimensional movement remain at the forefront of Nike’s designs, enabling players to make fast cuts without a dip in traction.

The Nike Phantom GX, like its predecessors, is available in both Dynamic and Standard Fit models. With the Dynamic Fit, Nike bring back the Ghost Lacing System that appeared in the Phantom VSN 1 and 2.

Sustainability Initiative

Continuing Nike’s recent trend towards environmental impact targets and planet wellness, the Phantom GX is constructed using at least 20% recycled content by weight. Currently, 78% of all Nike’s products contain recycled materials, a number which the company is actively working to increase.
