adidas X 99.1 Limited Edition

Adidas has introduced the X 99.1 boot today, celebrating the legendary F50 line which debuted back in 2004.

The F50 was upgraded to the F50 adizero line before eventually becoming the X in 2015. Later that year, adidas used the X to design the world’s lightest ever boot: adizero 99g. Weighing in at just 99 grams, hence the name, this adizero was followed by a second edition the following year.

Although the X 99.1 weighs closer to 200 grams, it offers durability and more protection compared to its lighter predecessors.

The immaculate white upper and futuristic pink and blue details give the boot a revolutionary appearance, while the insert contains text reading “299,792,458 m/s” — the speed of light.
